Editorial and listing policy
Fulshear Local is an independent directory for people who live in or visit Fulshear, Texas. The goal is to make local businesses easier to find. Inclusion is free.
What a listing is
A listing shows the business name, the category we file it under, and contact details we have confirmed, such as an address, phone number, website, or hours. When a source supports it, the page may also include one factual sentence from that source. It is not a review, and it does not describe quality, prices, or anything the source did not say.
What we do not publish
- Star ratings, review scores, or review text.
- Made-up businesses, phone numbers, or promotional descriptions.
- A claim that a business endorsed this directory, or that a listing is certified.
- Paid placement that is disguised as a normal listing.
If we offer featured placement later, it will be labeled as featured or sponsored, and paying will not change which businesses appear in ordinary directory order.
How businesses are added or changed
We review requests sent through Add or update your listing. A submission is stored for review. It is not published automatically. We may ask for a clarification, edit obvious formatting, or decline a request that looks unrelated to Fulshear, duplicated, or misleading.
We may also remove a listing when a business appears to have closed or when two entries point at the same place.
Accuracy
Details change. Hours on a listing are only the hours we have on file, not a promise that the business is open right now. Please check with the business before you go. When a listing shows “Last verified” and a month, that is the month we last checked its details against the business’s own site, OpenStreetMap, or a Texas Comptroller sales-tax permit. The date is not an endorsement. Listings that look closed stay out of the public directory until someone reviews them.
News
News stories are original reporting. They are written from public records and official announcements, such as the City of Fulshear, Fort Bend County, Lamar CISD, Katy ISD, and TxDOT. A story is not a rewrite of another outlet's article.
Every story names its sources. Official government and school-district pages can be linked. Other news sites are not. A story stays off the site until it is approved. To ask for a correction, use the contact form or email hello@fulshearlocal.com.
Corrections
Business owners and customers can request a correction with the listing form or by emailing hello@fulshearlocal.com. Include the business name and what should change.
